DTS Steps into 2018 with a Solid Performance Throughout the Outgoing Year

(DTS Group) is pleased to announce solid performance of its major heavy engineering asset PJSC “Dneprotyazhmash” (DTM) in the year of 2017. Combined revenue of more than $20 million has been achieved, and a backlog of orders for almost 6 months of continuous operations was secured by the end of last year.

Among the most prominent projects fulfilled by DTM in 2017 there shall be named supplies of cast-iron lining rings for London Underground, two wagon tipplers, top charging unit of a blast furnace (all in Russia), and number of technological equipment positions (total around 2,400.00 tons) for PJSC “Zaporizhstal” (Ukraine), including checker support grid, ladle and slag cars, D2750 valve, and a top charging unit equipment contracted by the industry leader Danieli Corus B.V. (the Netherlands).

In February DTM supplied 5.4 meters diameter cone-type top charging unit for Tulachermet, one of the leading Russian producers and manufacturers of merchant pig iron, the largest enterprise of the IMH Group. In March DTM shipped the heaviest wagon tippler of its product range (VRS-134M) to Vorkutaugol, one of the largest producers of hard coking coal in Russia, part of Severstal Resources business unit.

Also in March, DTM completed supply of chute-type top charging system equipment for Danieli Corus B.V., world’s leading supplier of tailor-made solutions in all areas related to blast furnaces. The top charging system was installed on Blast Furnace No. 3 at PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, one of the largest Ukrainian steel makers as part of their ongoing project of complete blast furnace rehabilitation. DTM’s scope of supply included receiving hopper with chutes, two material bins, and a centering unit with a total weight of more than 80 tons. By August 2017, DTM successfully manufactured and shipped major order for the wagon tippler’s spares totaling more than 100 tons to Urals Aluminum Smelter of RUSAL Group. The VRS-93 wagon tipper was successfully commissioned into operation under the authorial supervision of DTM’s engineers within less than two months since delivery of spare parts. It is worth mentioning that this particular wagon tippler (originally manufactured by DTM as well) was successfully operated for 35 years before the first service and repair was required. In November DTM delivered 49 blast furnace cooling staves to weighting almost 100 tons to PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, setting a record time in manufacturing them in just 8 days. This delivery has enabled the Customer to put blast furnace No. 2 in operation without loss of time after capital repairs. Earlier same year, DTM has successfully supplied Zaporizhstal with a D2750 shut-off valve and checker support grid also within a very tight timeframe.

Throughout the year of 2017 DTM manufactured and delivered cast iron (SGI) segments in accord with the London Underground Specification T0006 for the construction of step plate junction, cross passage opening sets and Kennington Station cross passages for London Underground’s Northern Line Extension (NLE) to Battersea. With the last batch of segments shipped early 2018, DTM has demonstrated to be a reliable supplier of quality cast iron lining for tunnels.

Dneprotechservice (DTS Group) is a leading Ukrainian group of enterprises that provides engineering solutions, equipment and services for mining & metallurgy, power generation, construction, and aerospace industries worldwide. PJSC “Dneprotyazhmash” (DTM) – the manufacturing facility of DTS Group is a world’s No. 1 supplier of cast-iron lining rings for tunnels and mine shafts, CIS’ No. 1 supplier of rail wagon unloading machines & equipment, as well as CIS’ leading supplier of technological equipment, spare and wear parts for metallurgy and mining.
